(LOOTPRESS) – Two U.S. service members were killed and another remains missing following Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks in Jordan, according to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
CENTCOM said the casualties occurred on July 17 as U.S. and partner forces defended against the attacks.
In addition to the two service members killed in action, four American service members were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan.
CENTCOM said all four have since been discharged. Other personnel who were evaluated for minor injuries have returned to duty.
Out of respect for the families, CENTCOM said it is withholding additional information, including the identities of the two fallen service members, until at least 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified.
No further details were immediately released.
