RAVENSWOOD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A U-Haul truck collided with a residence on Ann Street Friday evening, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.
The Ravenswood Fire Department reported that they were dispatched to the 100 block of Ann Street at approximately 7:27 p.m. on January 3, 2025, for a motor vehicle accident involving a U-Haul truck.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the U-Haul driver outside the vehicle.
Ravenswood Police and Jackson County EMS were on-site providing assistance. The driver declined transport by EMS.
Officials determined the U-Haul struck four parked vehicles before veering off the roadway and crashing head-on into the front porch of a residence.
The extensive damage required five wreckers to remove the vehicles involved.
Fire department personnel worked to stabilize the residence and ensure its structural integrity during the removal process.
After confirming there was no risk of collapse, crews safely extracted the U-Haul.
The scene was cleared approximately two hours later.
Additional agencies involved included the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Haynes Wrecker Service, Red Barn Wrecker Service, and Mighty Warriors Towing.
