ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The city of Elkins has released the slate of upcoming meetings and events planned for this week.
The Finance Committee and Planning Commission will meet the week of October 9.
The Finance Committee meets Monday at 10:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include:
Budget revision requested by Municipal Properties Committee for downtown trees, grates, and concrete work; discussion of funding for the installation of new “Welcome to Elkins” signs; and budget revisions allocating FY 2023 carryover funds.
The Planning Commission meets Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday. Items on the agenda include:
Discussion of zoning for the CSX property near N 12th St. and continued work on the Comprehensive Plan.
The city of Elkins does not observe Columbus Day as a holiday, so city hall and all city functions will be in operation as usual on Monday.
Past-due utility accounts must be brought up to date by Monday, October 9 to avoid shutoff. Current utility bills and in-city fire fees are due October 18.
Penalties will be added to unpaid accounts on October 19. Pay these and other city bills online here.
Third Quarter Business and Occupation (B&O) tax returns are due no later than October 31.
