BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One of the most exciting new eateries in the Raleigh County area, Uptown Dish cut the ribbon in its new Beckley location on Tuesday.
Located at 113 Main Street in Beckley, the establishment welcomed guests last month for a soft opening event. Tuesday’s Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted with the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, saw attendance from members of the community as well as many members of local leadership. Some guests in attendance included City of Beckley Mayor Ryan Neal, Interim City Manager Ann Worley, members of City Council, and many others.
Uptown Dish Co-owner, Michelle Rotellini addressed guests in attendance, speaking of the beginnings of the Dish Cafe in Daniels over a decade ago, which would ultimately lead to the recent expansion in the form of its new uptown Beckley location.
“We are so excited to be here! These are my business partners, my Aunt Rosie and my Aunt Beverly. I somehow convinced them to do the crazy idea of the Dish Cafe twelve years ago, and so here we are today twelve years later and we decided to bring a storefront uptown,” said Rotellini. “We really hope that this spawns other businesses and other storefronts to take the chance that we’ve taken, because it’s the only way it’ll work. We need more businesses uptown and we need more foot traffic.”
The Uptown Dish location will reportedly be run by Rotellini’s daughter, Bella, a recent graduate of WVU Tech’s Culinary program.
“We’re super excited to be here in the community and we appreciate all the support we’ve gained so far,” said Uptown Dish Manager Bella Rotellini. “We hope to continue serving the Beckley and Raleigh County community for years to come!”
Uptown Dish is open from 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday-through-Thursday and from 8:30am to 7:30pm on Fridays.
