VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Virginia State Police are searching for Travis L. Turner, 46, of Appalachia, who is wanted on multiple child exploitation charges.
Turner, the head football coach at Union High School, faces five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor. Additional charges are pending, authorities said.
Police have labeled Turner a fugitive and have used search and rescue teams, drones, and K9 units to locate him. Turner was last reported seen on Thursday, Nov. 20, wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and glasses.
Earlier in the investigation, VSP Special Agents visited Turner’s home in Wise County, but he was no longer there. That visit was part of the investigative process and was not an attempt to arrest him at the time.
Virginia State Police are asking anyone with information about Turner’s whereabouts to contact Division 4 at 276-484-9483 or email questions@vsp.virginia.gov. Tips can also be submitted anonymously.
