BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Get ready for the quest of the summer! The UPS Store and Visit Southern West Virginia are launching a regional treasure hunt on June 20, just in time for West Virginia Day — and there’s $500 in cash waiting for the lucky person who finds the hidden chest.
A small, real treasure chest has been hidden outdoors somewhere in the scenic landscapes of Southern West Virginia. Participants will uncover its location by following clues released every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on The UPS Store – Beckley and Visit Southern West Virginia’s Facebook pages. Participants can share their journey by tagging #visitwv or #almostheaventresurehunt on social media or submitting photos at https://shrpa.com/upload/southernwv/contest.
The treasure hunt is free to join and open to locals and visitors of all ages. Along the way, explorers will discover the public parks, trails, and small towns that make our region truly “Almost Heaven.” As explorers follow the clues, they should know that no digging will be involved, and park rules should be followed.
