POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A West Virginia man has been arrested on arson and attempted murder charges following a structure fire in Mason County.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Trooper First Class J.L. Cavender and Corporal R.S. Minor responded to a fire on Tanglewood Drive in Point Pleasant on Tuesday, March 4.
Their investigation determined that the suspect, 32-year-old Tyler Allen Crump, intentionally started the fire while the residence was occupied.
Fortunately, all occupants were able to escape without injury. The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office assisted in the investigation.
Crump was taken into custody and charged with first-degree arson and three counts of attempted murder.
