SALEM, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A West Virginia man has been arrested for murder following an investigation.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, a Harrison County man has been arrested and will be charged with felony murder following the discovery of a body along Jack Run Road near Clarksburg.
Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny confirmed that Dennis Allen High of Salem is in custody for felony murder after police spent the past 16 hours investigating the incident.
Sheriff Matheny identified the victim as Dallion Corbet Lewis, 37 of Clarksburg.
More arrests are pending as law enforcement had a long night investigating leads and executing search warrants that ultimately led to the arrest, according to police.
Matheny credited the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the Sheriff’s Detective unit, SWAT unit and the ATF for the investigation.
He also praised the efforts of the Harrison County EMS. Sheriff Matheny says that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
No further information will be released at this time but the investigation continues.
