MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Gerrardstown man has been charged in connection with the theft and destruction of multiple Flock Safety Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) camera systems in Monongalia County.
According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents occurred on or about June 26, 2026, and remain under investigation by the agency’s Detective Division.
On July 16, detectives arrested Wesley N. Jackson for his alleged involvement in the case.
Jackson has been charged with damage, destruction, or theft of equipment used by emergency responders, a felony under West Virginia law, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office said it remains committed to thoroughly investigating the incidents and will pursue all criminal charges permitted by law against those responsible.
Authorities said additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
