UPSHUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 71-year-old man from St. Albans has died following a possible drowning incident in Upshur County, authorities said.
According to a press release from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded on June 22, 2025, to the area near 700 Boy Scout Camp Road after receiving reports of a potential drowning.
An investigation revealed that the victim, identified as Harold Feagans, had gone to the riverbank, slipped, and fell into the Middle Fork River.
He was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The cause of death remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
The incident is being handled by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department.
