CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – James Leonard Bailey III, a 41-year-old from Stonewood, pleaded guilty on Monday to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute at least five grams of methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia announced.
Court documents reveal that Bailey was found in Harrison County with 32 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm.
The charge carries a potential prison sentence of five to 40 years, with the final sentence to be determined by a federal district court judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Christie Utt is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Stonewood Police Department. U.S.
Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the plea hearing.
