MAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Just in time for the holiday season, Man, West Virginia native and first-time author Chad Story announces his book tour throughout the Mountain State. Story’s children’s book, Christmas in the Mountain State, will officially start at the Buffalo Creek Memorial Library on December 1, 2025, at 6 p.m.
The full-color book takes you under the gold dome, where the red cardinal, our state bird, kicks off his Christmas journey from Wheeling to Chief Logan, to historic Harpers Ferry, to the majestic New River Gorge Bridge, and beyond! It’s more than just a story; it’s a celebration of our traditions and what makes our state special. This book is filled with state pride and educational information.
In Man, Chad will hold a special reading, followed by cookies and snacks for the kids. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a surprise appearance, and, of course, there will be books for purchase, but they will also give copies away, too! He invites all of West Virginia to come and celebrate the release!
Chad’s schedule takes him to Logan, Kanawha, Wyoming, Boone, Mingo, Raleigh, Greenbrier, Harrison, Jefferson, Mercer, and Wood Counties, with more stops being added!
“Written in memory of my late parents, I wanted to create something that kids will treasure, but that also sparks pride for families who call our state home,” said author Chad Story. “This book is my love letter to the Mountain State, told through the eyes of our state bird. I’m excited to have the tour begin in the town where I was raised, with so many friends and supporters.”
Christmas in the Mountain State is available for purchase on his website, chadstory.com, and in local stores. Chad’s detailed tour schedule can be found on his website and social media.
