MCMECHEN, WV( LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia Senator Mike Maroney has been arrested for the second time in two months, this time on suspicion of drunk driving.
WCHS-TV reports that McMechen Police Chief Robert Shilling reported that Maroney was pulled over on Monday after committing multiple traffic violations. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Chief Shilling noted that Maroney was cooperative with officers and is currently being held at the Northern Regional Jail, awaiting arraignment. Further details about the arrest are expected to be released.
Back in August, West Virginia Senator Maroney was arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching himself while gambling.
