OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Westside High School’s Annual Homecoming Parade is set to take place on Thursday, October 27 as scheduled, with final details having been released on Monday.
This year’s parade announcement was made Wednesday, September 28, just shy of exactly one month prior to the set date of the event.
Lineup for the parade will take place at 2:45 at Oceana Middle School for Westside participants, and at the park for other participants on a first come, first serve basis.
The parade itself will begin promptly at 4:00pm and will be led by Westside, while other participants such as feeder schools and local organizations are to follow after the final Westside participant has passed by the park.
Participants in the event are to either pull off at the Oceana Square area or to continue along the route to Westside High School in Clear Fork.
No one will be permitted to drive into the Oceana Middle School parking lot or into Gilliland Park during the event.
The Oceana Fire Department has advised that, as is customary with the annual event, major traffic delays should be anticipated during the parade as well as the hours which immediately follow.
Those seeking further information are encouraged to call Westside High School at (304) 682-8965.
