WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to an NBC News report, the Trump administration has put a hold on military aid to Ukraine, according to a White House official and a U.S. official.
“The President has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well,” the White House official said, according to NBC News. “We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.”
The decision comes as President Trump has intensified his criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. military assistance to Ukraine.
The pause follows more than three years of ongoing conflict after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
