PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Mercer County woman was arrested Saturday morning following a reported domestic disturbance that escalated into an alleged assault and death threat.
According to the West Virginia State Police, troopers were dispatched around 7:16 a.m. on April 4, 2026, to a residence on Noble Circle in Princeton after Mercer County 911 received a concerning call. Dispatchers reported hearing a woman screaming in the background, and the caller initially refused to speak before disconnecting. When contact was reestablished, the caller reported that a female had slapped him.
Upon arrival, troopers made contact with the female, identified as Kasandra Olson, who stated her boyfriend had been yelling at her earlier that morning. However, when officers entered the home to speak with the male involved, they found the residence in disarray, with broken items and glass scattered across the floor.
The male told troopers he had been slapped in the face during an argument. He further alleged that Olson grabbed a pair of scissors, pointed them at him, and threatened to kill him.
Troopers observed visible redness on the victim’s face consistent with his account and later recovered the scissors believed to have been used during the incident.
Kasandra Olson was taken into custody at the scene without incident. She was transported to the West Virginia State Police Princeton Detachment for processing and later taken to Southern Regional Jail, where she awaits arraignment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
