CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One woman has been arrested for refusing to pay for her pedicure at a local salon.
According to a criminal complaint, on Thursday, September 12, at approximately 7:28 PM police responded to Studio and Salon in Charleston in reference to a disturbance in progress.
The responding officer was advised that a female at the salon refused to pay for a pedicure she received with an approximate value of $72.
The woman was also causing a disturbance in the business by screaming and yelling.
According to the complaint, the woman, identified as 47-year-old Sarah Withrow, was actively disturbing a public area with her “loud and obscene talking after refusing to pay.”
Upon arrival, police observed a female walking around the salon in a fast-paced manner. According to the complaint, Withrow was talking to what seemed to be herself and not making much sense.
Withrow admitted to police to coming to the salon to obtain services without money. She claimed someone else was arriving to pay, however, no one ever arrived.
Withrow was arrested and charged with Theft of Services and Disorderly Conduct.
She is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a $5,000 bond.
