CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – According to a criminal complaint, one woman has been arrested for assault after yelling at children and making threatening statements.
The complaint states that on February 14, 2023, 56-year-old Angela Newhouse committed the offense of assault.
Newhouse allegedly entered the lobby of a Kanawha County business and began yelling at children. Newhouse also made threats towards one woman and even threatened to shoot her.
Witnesses in the lobby of the business stated that Newhouse did make those statements. The responding officer then contacted Newhouse who invited the officer inside her residence. Newhouse did claim to the officer that she did make threats to beat up the victim but not shoot her.
Newhouse was taken into custody for two active warrants through Kanawha County Magistrate Court for assault and subsequently charged with assault for this incident as well. Newhouse is currently out on bond.
