FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County woman is facing charges after she allegedly chased and attacked her boyfriend with decorations.
On June 9, 2024, at around 10 pm, Deputy Sheriff T. L. Farley, II of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call from the Fayette County 911 Center regarding a physical domestic disturbance at 3585 Armstrong Creek Road in the Powellton area of Fayette County, West Virginia. The incident involved a conflict between the victim, David Lee Mace, and his girlfriend, the defendant, Lucinda Marie Sneed.
While en route to the scene, Fayette 911 informed Deputy Sheriff Farley that the individuals were engaged in a physical altercation and that the defendant, who was possibly under the influence of alcohol and drugs, had firearms in the residence. Upon arrival at the scene with Smithers Police Officer J. Cooper, Deputy Sheriff Farley noticed a woman carrying a large number of items walking down the road. He then radioed Officer J. Cooper to stop and speak with her. Deputy Sheriff Farley then spoke with the victim, who mentioned that the defendant had left and was walking down the road that Deputy Sheriff Farley had just passed.
Subsequently, Deputy Sheriff Farley and Officer J. Cooper found firearms at the scene, including a Maverick 12-gauge shotgun (serial# MV0910349) and a .38 revolver (Serial #ACL574616). The defendant was detained pending further investigation.
Upon interviewing the victim, it was revealed that the defendant, who was intoxicated, instigated an argument that turned physical with him by tackling him and chasing him out of the house, hitting him with a decoration on his back. The victim managed to escape to his grandmother’s place, where he called 911.
Following the investigation, it was determined that Lucinda Marie Sneed had physically assaulted her boyfriend, David Lee Mace, causing harm intentionally. Consequently, she was arrested and taken to Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment by a Fayette County Magistrate.
