FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Fayette County announced Thursday that Jessica L. Keener, 28, formerly of Gauley Bridge, pled guilty to one county of third-degree sexual assault stemming from a 2020 encounter in which she engaged in intercourse with a 13 year old boy in a hotel room.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Detectives Bureau met with the 13 year old boy and his father on October 13, 2020 to investigate allegations of Keener engaging in sex with the child.
During an interview at the Just for Kids Child Advocacy Center, the minor stated that he had met Keener through a mutual acquaintance, and that Keener worked as a housekeeper at a local hotel.
The boy advised that Keener brought him along with her to work one day, and that, upon arrival, she used keys supplied by her employer to access a hotel room where she then engaged in sexual intercourse with the minor.
Fayette County Deputies reported that the incident occured at the Glen Ferris Inn, and that Keener was 26 years old at the time. Initial LOOTPRESS coverage of the incident can be seen here.
The case was prosecuted by Prosecuting Attorney Anthony Ciliberti Jr, and heard before Judge Thomas H. Ewing. Keener faces one to five years in prison and up to fifty years of supervised release. Keener will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
