KANSAS CITY, MO (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was tragically killed on Sunday after being run over by her own vehicle at a local gas station, according to the Kansas City Police Department.
Authorities say the incident occurred when the woman, who was driving a Ford F-150, was refueling her truck.
For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle began rolling backward while she was outside of it.
In an apparent attempt to stop the truck, the woman tried to re-enter through the passenger side. She fell during the attempt and was run over by the vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
