BLUEFIELD, VA (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was injured after a bullet entered her home Friday night in Bluefield, Virginia, and struck her, according to the Bluefield Virginia Police Department.
Police said officers responded at approximately 8:49 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, to the 200 block of Montrose Street in the West Graham area of Bluefield for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they found that a 43-year-old female resident of Montrose Street had suffered a single gunshot wound.
According to the preliminary investigation, a single round entered the residence from outside and struck the victim.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police said it is unknown whether the residence was intentionally targeted or whether it was struck by a stray bullet.
The victim’s identity is being withheld out of respect for her privacy. Police said she is expected to make a full recovery.
