LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman faces charges after she allegedly set fire to a man’s truck out of retaliation.
According to Logan County Sheriff’s Department, on August 26, 2023, Mariah Cyrus was seen busing out the windows of a man’s truck as it sat in his driveway. The victim told deputies that all his personal items, such as clothing, wallet, and more, were in bags in the bed of his truck. The victim said he had seen Mariah Cyrus use a lighter to light a black bag on fire, resulting in the entire truck catching fire.
The victim stated that he had accused Cyrus of taking some of his belongings, and she committed the act out of retaliation.
Cyrus was later arrested on September 30 on a warrant for the charges that happened in August. When Cyrus was arrested and transported to jail, she was found with a small clear container of crystal meth inside of it.
Cyrus faces conspiracy charges, third-degree arson, and contraband into a facility. She is being held under a 25,000 dollar bond.
