HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Huntington woman has been accused of stabbing her boyfriend during a domestic altercation, authorities reported.
On the evening of February 16, 2025, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers responded to St. Mary’s Hospital on 2900 1st Avenue following a report of a domestic violence incident.
According to police, the victim, identified as James Bragg, was being treated in the hospital’s triage area when officers arrived. Bragg told authorities that he and his girlfriend, Summer Manley, had spent most of the evening at their shared residence on 2739 Guyan Avenue in Huntington. He alleged that Manley became upset when he refused to drive her to purchase illegal narcotics.
Bragg stated that during the dispute, Manley became irate and stabbed him with a kitchen knife at approximately 8:00 p.m. Medical staff confirmed that the victim sustained a small, sutured wound on his left arm, approximately 1/8 of an inch deep.
Authorities have not released further details regarding Manley’s arrest or pending charges. The incident remains under investigation.
