MADISON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Local authorities are investigating a case of vandalism at a pet grooming business in Madison, West Virginia, after outdoor decorations were allegedly destroyed.
The incident occurred at Wags and Whiskers, located at 375 Madison Avenue, where two scarecrow decorations were removed from the premises and damaged.
The owner of the business, who reported the crime, stated in a taped statement that upon arriving at the shop, she noticed that some of the outdoor decorations had been removed. After checking the store’s video surveillance system, she observed an individual, later identified as Tifani Finley, taking two scarecrow decorations from the flower pots outside the building.
The surveillance footage reportedly shows the defendant pulling the decorations from the pots and throwing them over an embankment next to the building. The incident, which has been classified as a destruction of property case, is based on the victim’s statement and the video evidence obtained from the scene.
