MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities are investigating a violent altercation that took place on March 12, 2025, in Mingo County, leaving a woman hospitalized with multiple injuries.
According to a report from Trooper J.C. Morrison of the West Virginia State Police Williamson Detachment, law enforcement received a complaint from Trooper Morgan of the Welch Detachment regarding the assault. The victim sustained injuries following an attack allegedly carried out by Cheyenne Bradford and Ethan Wiles.
Following the incident, she was taken to Welch Community Hospital, where she was treated for facial contusions, swelling, and abrasions. Medical staff documented her injuries with photographs. On March 15, she sought further treatment at Princeton Community Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a concussion, facial contusions, hemorrhaging in both eyes, neck trauma, and additional abrasions.
On March 19, Trooper Morrison met with the victim to obtain a statement. She reported that the assault occurred on Gilbert Creek Road and lasted approximately an hour. She stated that Bradford pulled her from a vehicle by her hair and repeatedly punched her in the face. She attempted to remain inside the vehicle, but Bradford successfully dragged her out.
She further alleged that her cousin was the only person who tried to intervene but was unable to do so because Wiles allegedly held him at gunpoint. After Bradford stopped the attack, Wiles reportedly slapped her in the face.
