FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Department of Highways (WVDOH) is inviting residents to participate in a community planning workshop as part of the development of the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
The workshop is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 22, at Ascend Basecamp, 200 West Wiseman Avenue in Fayetteville.
According to the WVDOH, the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is intended to identify needs, programs and policies that make it easier for West Virginians to walk and bike in their communities.
Community members are encouraged to attend and share their experiences, local knowledge and ideas to help shape active transportation planning across the state.
The workshop is one of several opportunities for public input as the state develops the plan.
Residents who are unable to attend in person can also learn more about the project and complete a public survey through the Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan project website.
