MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia University senior Tucker DeVries will be sidelined indefinitely due to an upper body injury, the Mountaineer men’s basketball team announced Tuesday.
Head coach Darian DeVries confirmed the news after consultations with team doctors and other medical professionals.
“After consulting with our team doctors and other medical professionals, they have ruled Tucker out indefinitely as he deals with an upper body injury,” Coach DeVries said.
“We have a great bunch of guys in the locker room who I know will rally around him during his absence.”
DeVries, a Waukee, Iowa, native, has been a key player for the Mountaineers this season, starting all eight games and averaging 14.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
No timeline has been set for his return.
