MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia University Board of Governors has approved a top candidate to serve as the university’s 27th president.
The decision was made during the board’s regular meeting on Thursday (Feb. 20) at the Erickson Alumni Center.
“At a time when the higher education landscape is changing, we think that this person can best lead West Virginia University – the state’s flagship university – forward and serve as its 27th president,” said Rick Pill, BOG chair.
Pill added that a public announcement will be made once a contract is signed.
“We hope to make a public announcement informing our WVU community and the citizens of our state who our next president will be as soon as a contract is signed.”
No further details on the candidate have been released by WVU.
