WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Wyoming County man was arrested Saturday after deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance and discovered he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to a residence in Herndon at approximately 4:56 p.m. on June 6 for a reported physical domestic incident involving Daniel Green.
While en route, Wyoming County 911 advised responding deputies that Green and a woman were actively fighting and that Green had allegedly bitten the victim and pushed her to the ground.
Upon arriving at the residence, deputies made contact with Green outside the home. He was detained and placed in a patrol vehicle while officers investigated the incident.
During the investigation, dispatchers informed deputies that Green had an active capias warrant for domestic assault and brandishing.
A written statement obtained from the victim alleged that after she picked Green up and returned home, he began cursing at her before getting in her face and headbutting her. The victim further stated that Green threatened her by saying, “I should beat your ass.”
According to the statement, Green then followed her toward a bathroom, shoved her, spit in her face, and pushed her into a bathtub.
Following the investigation, Green was arrested and charged with domestic battery. He was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department for processing.
The incident remains under investigation.
