A Wyoming County man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he threatened the mother of his newborn child during a domestic dispute inside a Pineville residence.
According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Corporal L. Blankenship responded to a report of a physical domestic disturbance on July 29, 2026, at a residence within the city limits of Pineville.
Upon arriving at the home, the deputy reported hearing a verbal altercation taking place inside. Officers made contact with Joshua Feagle, the female victim, and the couple’s newborn baby. Feagle was detained while deputies interviewed those involved.
According to the victim, the couple had been arguing earlier in the day, and the dispute continued after Feagle returned home. She told deputies that Feagle repeatedly yelled at her and called her derogatory names, prompting her to take the baby into another room.
The victim also alleged that Feagle attempted to take her cellphone and that when she pushed him away while trying to leave, he shoved her two or three times before the argument continued verbally.
Deputies placed Feagle under arrest and advised him of his Miranda rights.
According to the criminal complaint, Feagle admitted after being advised of his rights that he had threatened to hurt the victim and had been yelling in her face. He also acknowledged making threats during the altercation, according to investigators.
A second witness told deputies she had come to the residence after being asked to do so by the victim. The witness said she observed the argument after Feagle returned home and heard him repeatedly call the victim vulgar names, including “bitch,” “whore,” and “slut.”
The witness also told deputies that Feagle called the victim a vulgar slur and allegedly threatened her by saying he would “rock your shit” and warned that “if you know what’s good for you, you’d shut up.”
Feagle was taken into custody following the investigation.
The allegations contained in the criminal complaint are accusations only. Feagle is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
