WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Wyoming County Schools will once again sponsor the federally funded Summer Food Service Program, offering free meals to children 18 years old and younger throughout the summer.
Meals will be available at the following school sites:
- Berlin McKinney Elementary School
HC 65 Box 402 and 405 Cook Parkway, Oceana, WV 24870
- Mullens Elementary School
2107 Caloric Road, Mullens, WV 25882
Meal service begins June 16 and runs through July 25, 2025. Children can receive breakfast from 8:30 to 8:50 a.m. and lunch from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.
Meals will not be served on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
Weekend meal bags will be sent home with students attending Energy Express and/or Summer School AIM programs.
In addition, Wyoming County Schools will distribute 10-day non-congregate meal boxes beginning June 13 through August 12, 2025.
Each box includes 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches with shelf-stable milk.
Deliveries will be handled by third-party services such as UPS, and are scheduled near the following dates: June 13, June 23, July 3, July 13, July 23, and August 3.
The program ensures children have access to nutritious meals to help them grow, play, and stay active during the summer months.
