HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – GRAMMY award-winning artist Zach Bryan will headline a concert at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Aug. 30, Marshall Athletics announced Tuesday.
Tickets for the highly anticipated event go on sale Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. ET and will be available for purchase online through AXS.
“This one has been a goal from the beginning as part of our annual Game Plan,” said Christian Spears, Marshall’s Director of Athletics.
“We have worked to make Joan C. Edwards Stadium a viable option for a major recording artist. Bringing a concert of this magnitude to our region with an artist like Zach Bryan is super-special. We are so thankful for his team, the folks at AEG and our athletics staff and university community who did not flinch at the effort and work of it. I’m grateful to be at a place with people who can make these things happen! It’s going to be a spectacularly great event!”
The concert, set to begin at 7 p.m., marks a first for Joan C. Edwards Stadium, bringing one of country music’s most recognizable performers to Huntington. Special guest Petey USA will also take the stage.
Marshall’s stadium joins an elite list of venues hosting Bryan’s 2025 tour, including Michigan Stadium, Notre Dame Stadium, and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The announcement comes after Bryan attended Marshall’s 2024 Homecoming Game, where he witnessed the Thundering Herd’s thrilling 52-37 victory over Appalachian State and the energy of the Tri-State community.
Bryan, fresh off his “Quittin’ Time 2024 Tour,” where he played 85 arenas and stadiums across North America, continues to solidify his status as one of the most in-demand artists in the world.
In addition to his Huntington stop, Bryan is set to headline major festivals, including Stagecoach Festival 2025 in California and BST Hyde Park Festival 2025 in London. He will also perform in Dublin, Ireland, and San Francisco.
The Oklahoma native has earned 30 RIAA Gold & Platinum certifications and multiple GRAMMY nominations. His hit song “Something in the Orange” has achieved 12x Platinum status, and his self-titled 2023 album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
With over 24.1 billion global streams, Bryan continues to break records and expand his reach.
