HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – As the month of July nears its conclusion, hot dog lovers are preparing to assemble in Downtown Huntington for the 19th Annual West Virginia Hotdog Festival.
The final Saturday of July each year has traditionally served as the date for West Virginia’s largest hot dog showcase, as hot dog establishments and businesses from around the state and beyond come together to raise money for children throughout the region undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
The annual event, held in celebration of National Hot Dog Month each year, will feature contests, live music, displays, prizes, arts & crafts, shopping, vehicle shows, games, challenges, rides, and much more, including of course, delicious hot dogs and delectable samples.
Specifically, the Bun Run 5k charity walk will be featured, along with an all-breed dog costume contest & Pooch Parade, annual Weiner Dog Races, Hot dog eating and root beer chugging contests, inflatables, an FTC wrestling expo, and more!
This year’s Annual Hot Dog Festival event is scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2023, and will take place in the Downtown Huntington area.
More information can be found at the West Virginia Hot Dog Festival website, and additional details can be heard on your favorite iHeart Radio stations.
