PENDLETON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) —The West Virginia Division of Forestry is urging residents of Mozer in Pendleton County to avoid the Brushy Run area as it responds to an ongoing wildland fire.
A W.Va. Division of Forestry fire team is at the scene and targeting the fire through a controlled burnout. Residents who see the forest fire do not need to call 911; local authorities are aware of the situation and working with Forestry to stop the fire.
WVDOF responded to the fire, which is on private property, on Thursday along with a number of area volunteer fire departments. WVDOF will continue to update the public with any available information on this fire.
