CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The annual Potentate’s Ball of the Beni Kedem Shrine was held Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Shrine Temple in Charleston. The event began at 5 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner at 6 p.m.
H. Truman Chafin, the Democratic Party majority leader of the State Senate from 1998 to 2010, is the 2021 Potentate. Past Potentates were in attendance along with children who have benefitted from services provided by Shriners hospitals and Beni Kedem Temple in particular.
Shriners Hospitals, also known as Shriners Children’s, have been serving children with complex and specialized healthcare needs since 1922.
