RIPLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man drinking in a McDonald’s parking lot Saturday saw arrest on unrelated charges after attracting suspicion from nearby officers on a Saturday.
According to reports from the Ripley Police Department, on Saturday, 9/17/2022, officers observed a male at the Ripley McDonald’s parking lot exhibiting suspicious behavior and drinking a beer.
The subject was approached by officers, and following a criminal check, was revealed to be a wanted person.
The suspect, Sean Chalden, was placed under arrest, and an officer search revealed several loaded firearms among his belongings.
This discovery was notable in that Chalden was prohibited from owning firearms at the time. Chalden was charged with possession of a firearm as a prohibited person.
It was later determined that the firearms in Chaldens possession had been stolen from a Ravenswood residence.
