UPDATE: WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Murder charges were filed Thursday morning in connection to the death of of a woman in Wheeling on Wednesday night.
According to the Wheeling Police Department, 36 year old Jermaine Justin Copeland has been arrested and charged with the murder of 47 year old Shirley Ann Wolfe.
The two are reported to have lived together at the 107 Ohio Street residence to which authorities were initially called.
Copeland has been transported to Northern Regional Jail pending a court arraignment, and the body of the deceased has been taken to the West Virginia Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.

WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was found dead in a Wheeling residence Wednesday night when authorities responded to a 911 call from the address.Â
Reports from the Wheeling Police Department indicate that, at around 9:15pm on Wednesday night, police were dispatched to 107 Ohio Street.
Upon arrival of officers on the scene, a deceased woman was discovered inside the Ohio Street residence.Â
Officers detained a male suspect nearby, and the suspect remains in custody at this time.Â
Detectives remained at the residence, processing the crime scene and collecting further evidence. Authorities are referring to the case as a homicide investigation.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.Â
