BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – UPDATE 4:12 PM: Nearly 30,000 people are without power statewide.
Thousands in West Virginia are without power Friday morning as gusty winds roll through the region.
Much of the state is currently under a Wind Advisory and High Wind Warning as wind gusts over 60 MPH can be seen in some areas.
Power outages are one of the key concerns with these high winds.
As of 4:12 PM on Friday, nearly 30,000 customers are without power in the Mountain State.
