INWOOD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One woman has been arrested after stabbing her father multiple times during an argument.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at approximately 11:30 am, deputies and troopers from the West Virginia State Police, responded to a reported stabbing at McDonald Drive in Inwood.
The victim told deputies that his twenty-five-year-old daughter, Julia Chanclor, had stabbed him in the chest. Deputies learned that the victim and his daughter got into an argument.
During the argument, Chanclor grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her father multiple times, causing severe injuries. Chanclor then fled in her vehicle.
The victim was transported to INOVA Fairfax via helicopter and is currently in critical condition.
According to police, at approximately 12:39 PM, Martinsburg Police officers observed Chanclor driving her vehicle on Apple Harvest Drive in Martinsburg.
The officers followed the vehicle until Berkeley County deputies arrived and stopped the vehicle. Chanclor was taken into custody without incident & charged with attempted murder.
