PHILIPPI, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) has announced that Alderson Broaddus University has voluntarily resigned its accreditation.
The HLC says that Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi voluntarily resigned its accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission, effective December 31, 2023, due to its upcoming closure.
Transcripts will temporarily be available from the institution directly. Information is available here. Arrangements are pending to have transcripts and other student records available through the Independent College Enterprise.
The HLC says that the institution is working to establish teach-out arrangements and that information will be released as it becomes available.
Students with federal loans may be eligible to pursue a closed-school student loan discharge. Information is available here.
