POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two individuals who were considered armed & dangerous were taken into custody on Monday morning following a police pursuit.
According to Mason County Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, two individuals described as a “ blond female and a bald male” led authorities on a pursuit out of Jackson County before proceeding on foot in Mason County.
In the very early hours of Monday morning, the MCDHSEM in conjunction with the Mason County Sheriffs department and West Virginia State Police, residents in the area of Rt 2 North Ripley Road & Greer Road in all directions were asked to adhere to a voluntary shelter-in-place order and keep all doors locked as authorities continued to pursue the suspects in the case, indicating that at least one suspect should be considered armed & dangerous.
The unidentified female involved in the investigation was confirmed at around 5:00am on Monday as having been apprehended by law enforcement.
The male – identified as Brandon Clark Burton – remained at large following the capture of the female before having been confirmed captured himself at around 8:45am.
Authorities have yet to confirmed the specific charges faced by the suspects involved in the investigation. The voluntary shelter-in-place order was lifted following confirmation of Burton’s arrest, however.
