BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 29-year-old man was injured early this morning in a shooting on South Fayette Street, according to the Beckley Police Department.
Officers responded to the 700 block of South Fayette Street shortly after 1:00 a.m., where they found that multiple gunshots had been fired into a residence.
The victim, a male resident of the home, was struck by one of the projectiles.
Authorities say he sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Detectives are currently canvassing the area and collecting surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses as part of the ongoing investigation.
