BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Beckley’s Thirty-third Annual Chili Night event is just around the corner and is currently accepting registrations for participants.
Scheduled for October 5, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:30pm, the beloved community event will welcome businesses, restaurants, organizations, and individuals to partake in the proceedings.
The block party-style gathering is held each year along the streets of downtown Beckley and serves as a fundraiser for Beckley Events.
Twenty-five vendor booths will be featured along with thirty chili competitors. Registration for participants will close on September 16, 2024, or at the time all booth spaces are filled.
Food entries will be required to abide by rules set forth by the health department. Details regarding registration and entry are available for assessment at the Beckley Events Community Calendar site.
Along with the chili from which the event takes its name, the event will also feature multiple entertainment stages including the Word Park gazebo, where the Piney Creek Canyon Band and Bragg and Mann will be presented. The Main Street Stage will feature a performance by Thomas Danley and a Refit Beckley dance/exercise demonstration.
At the Cardinals Plaza deck those in attendance can catch music by Seeking Altitude at 5:00pm. The Chili Awards will also be presented here at 7:00pm. Shoemaker Square will feature music by the New Generation Gospel Band and Bride and Bottle.
