CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Recently introduced legislation could alter state law as pertaining to the legality of marijuana.
Introduced in the House of Delegates on Tuesday, House Bill 4005 would remove prohibition against the sale of medical cannabis in edible form to qualifying individuals if passed.
The bill, the lead sponsor of which is Delegate Todd Kirby (R-44) was referred to the House Health and Human Resources Committee following introduction.
At the time of writing, medical cannabis can be legally distributed to qualifying patients or caregivers in the State of West Virginia in the form of pills, oils, creams/gels/ointments, vaporization, tincture, liquid, or dermal patch.
