(Salt Rock, WV) Bloomingdale Baptist suffered their first home loss to West Logan Christian 72-33 on Thursday night. The Warriors came out in a full court press and never took their foot off the gas. The Bloom could not get into their offensive set and showed very little signs of life throughout the game. Even though the Warriors didn’t shoot the ball well, many of their points came from second chance opportunities because of The Bloom’s poor rebounding.
The Warriors’ Senior Forward Jacob Walls led all scorers with 21 points. James Scites (Sr., G) also contributed to the win with 17 points.
Sutton Roten (Sr., F) was The Bloom’s only double-digit scorer– finishing with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Andreas Reese (F, G) provided some help from off the bench with 7 points.
Bloomingdale Head Coach Tom Roten told his team in the locker room after the game they have to have a short memory, as they’ll turn around and play at home again tonight against Parkersburg Christian at 6:15. West Logan Christian will have an even quicker turn around against Greater Beckley Christian today at noon. All Bloomingdale games are livestreamed on their Facebook page.
