The Lootpress Kanawha Valley Player of the Week Award sponsored by Dutch Miller has arrived! After a successful football season we’ve decided to extend the award to the Kanawha Valley area (Putnam, Kanawha and Boone counties).
Below are the candidates for the eighth week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here.
VOTES ALONE DO NOT DETERMINE THE WINNER. In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report their nominee as well as supporting statistics (point per game for the week, double doubles, rebounds per game, etc.) to both tylerjackson@lootpress.com and tommybragg@gmail.com. It’s simple and easy and takes no more than five minutes!
Due to the snowstorms throughout Week 7 there were two winners in Week 8.
- Savannah Willard, Winfield – 10 points 4 assists vs. Scott
- Alyssa Raynes, Poca – 19 points vs. Charleston Catholic
- Alivia Luikart, Buffalo – 23 points 7 assists vs. Sherman
- Jeriyah Pryor, George Washington – 24 points vs. Capital
- Annaniesha Johnson, St. Albans – 11 points vs. Charleston Catholic
