HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It has been announced that the Central City Gazebo Park of Huntington’s Central City District is set to be reopened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony set to take place next month.
As announced by the Old Central City Association on Monday, the ceremony is set to take place at 11:00am on Friday, October 13, 2023, to mark the official start to Central City’s Fall Fest at the park.
“The Central City community is buzzing with excitement as we gear up for the grand reopening of Central City Gazebo Park,” said the Central City Antiques District in a statement, also revealing that the newly reopened park will be unveiled by City of Huntington Mayor Steve Williams.
“Central City always has been a vibrant commercial district, but the activity that has occurred on 14th Street West in recent years has been invigorating to watch,” Williams said, noting the city’s partnership with RenewAll in the facilitating of the improvements made to the park.
“The City of Huntington was proud to partner with RenewAll on the improvements to the gazebo and surrounding area, as they will enhance the annual festivals and community events that are drawing more people to 14th Street West.”
