PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Princeton is proud to announce that renovations of the Fire Training Center located on the Princeton City Hall Complex are underway.
This project will cost a total of $100,000 and will be funded through a joint city, county, and private partnership:
$25,000 by the City of Princeton; $25,000 by the City of Bluefield; $25,000 by the Mercer County Commission; and $25,000 by a local Princeton business. The site will serve as a regional training center for any municipal or volunteer fire departments in the area. Renovations to the Fire Training Center will be completed by the end of June and includes new plumbing, liquid flammable training equipment, furnishings, and containers.
“Princeton appreciates the willingness of the City of Bluefield, the Mercer County Commission,
and a local Princeton business to invest in our Fire Training Center. This is truly a community
asset that is open to any group of firefighters that would like to utilize the facility. After June, organizations can schedule a time at the center by contacting Princeton Fire Chief Mould at mmould.fd@princetonwv.gov “- Mike Webb, City Manager
