ST. ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of St. Albans is delighted to unveil a series of festive events for the 2023 holiday season, starting with the much-anticipated Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2nd, at 3:00 pm. This season is set to be more vibrant than ever, offering a variety of activities that promise to bring joy to families, friends, and neighbors.

St. Albans Christmas Parade: A community favorite, this year’s parade introduces a “Doggie Walk” and a special showcase for “Decorated Bikes or Trikes”, inviting participants of all ages to join the fun. The parade will also feature a “Tricycle Ride” for the little ones. Attendees are encouraged to enter the parade lineup via Washington Ave from Walnut Street. The parade route runs along 6th Avenue, 3rd Street, and Main Street downtown.
Post-Parade Festivities: Following the parade, the community is invited to the Christmas Tree Lighting on Main Street beginning at 5:30 pm, creating a magical atmosphere perfect for welcoming the holiday season. Santa will be available at Chandler’s on Main Street for the kids after the parade.
St. Albans Festival of Lights: Continuing the tradition, the St. Albans Festival of Lights at St. Albans City Park will be open from November 24 through December 26, offering a spectacular drive-through light display every night from 6 pm to 9 pm. During a special preview event on November 21, festival goers can walk through the lights. On November 22, free hayrides will be offered before the annual event opens to vehicle traffic on the 24th.
Santa House at Roadside Park: Open from November 24 to December 26, the Santa House provides an opportunity to meet Santa in a festive setting, perfect for creating holiday memories. Visitors are encouraged to visit with Santa and take their own photos for free.
